Angelina County has a dynamic and rich history; one that has shaped much of the direction of East Texas. We are blessed with tremendous natural resources, strong and progressive business leadership, and a community of involved and concerned people who desire the best for their families and their future

The mission of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce is to: Continuously improve economic prosperity, the business environment and quality of life in Angelina County.

Our Lufkin/Angelina Chamber embraces the challenges and the opportunities of this mission by joining with our communities, local government and area businesses in setting and implementing the goals of Vision 2020. As it state in the Vision 2020 platforms, the collective focus is to develop:

  • Responsible economic development
  • Outstanding primary and secondary educational opportunities
  • Effective coordination with key governmental leaders
  • Continuous infrastructure improvement
  • Cultivation of necessary private sector leadership
  • Excellence with respect to quality of life

To promote these platforms, out Chamber joins with you:

  • To GROW Angelina County through its ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS GROUP
  • To DEVELOP the Membership Base of the Chamber through the MEMBERSHIP SERVICES BUSINESS GROUP and MARKETING BUSINESS GROUP
  • To IMPROVE Lufkin and Angelina County through the COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS GROUP, and
  • To ADVOCATE Lufkin and Angelina County through the GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS BUSINESS GROUP

For those who call Angelina County "Home", we face the future with recognition of the challenges of change, but with excitement for the prospects of prosperity. Our tradition and history provide confidence, our current successes give courage and our bright tomorrow instills us with hope. Our Chamber these for 2008 is "Angelina County - The Beacon for Tomorrow; symbolizing the foundations of our history, the vision for today and the prospects for a greater future.
