Rusty Axe Brewing Co. to Host their Second Annual “Blues & Brews Festival”, Featuring Craft Beer, Live Music, and Unforgettable Fun in Lufkin’s newly remodeled Cotton Square Park!

Downtown Lufkin, TX — Saturday, March 22 — Rusty Axe Brewing is thrilled to announce the launch of its second annual Blues & Brews Festival, a unique celebration of craft beer, blues music, and the vibrant community spirit. The event will take place on Saturday March 22 at Rusty Axe Brewing’s festival location at Cotton Square Park in Downtown Lufkin, offering an exciting day of music, brews, and local flavor.  The gates will open at 11am, with the first band taking the stage at 12 noon and the last band finishing up at 10pm.  Please bring your own lawn chairs, as we will not be providing any seating.

The Blues & Brews Festival will showcase a curated lineup of live blues bands, bringing the soulful sounds of the genre to the heart of the local craft beer scene. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy a diverse selection of Rusty Axe Brewing’s signature craft beers at 2 outdoor bars, as well as a nice selection of wines for the event.

“Blues music and craft beer have always gone hand in hand, and we’re excited to bring this combination to life for our community,” said Trey Allen, Co-Owner and Head Brewer of Rusty Axe Brewing. “Our Blues & Brews Festival is all about celebrating great music, great beer, and the people who make it all happen. We can't wait to share this unforgettable experience with our friends, neighbors, and visitors.  This event also coincides with our second birthday of being open!"

Festival Highlights Include:

  • Live Blues Performances: A jam-packed lineup of local and national blues musicians performing throughout the day, including Johnny Riley with King Domino (from the Lufkin area), The Scott McGill Orchestra (from Beaumont), The Brick Street Blues Band (from Austin & San Antonio), and The Mighty Orq (from Houston).
  • Exclusive Brews: Rusty Axe Brewing will release special edition beers available only at the festival and brewery, as well as fan favorites.
  • Food Trucks & Local Vendors: Delicious food from top local food trucks, Viet Fusion, TNT Smokehouse, Casa Morales, Sea-Sum Treats, The Downtown Scoop, Totally Nutz, and as well as from Rusty Axe Brewing.  Additionally, Lily & Max Pet Treats will be selling doggie cookies and Stories Cigar Lounge will be selling special hand-rolled cigars for your enjoyment.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Corn Hole and Giant Jinga games will be provided, so the whole family can enjoy some friendly gaming at the festivities.

The Blues & Brews Festival is an all-ages event, general admission tickets are only $5.00, with children under 12 being free. Tickets are available for purchase at our 2 entry tents upon arrival.
