2026-2027 Leadership Tomorrow Applications Being Accepted
Attention Current High School Sophomores!
Leadership Tomorrow, developed for high school juniors in Angelina County, offers a transformative journey for participants, empowering them to become agents of change in their local community and beyond. The program mirrors the Leadership Lufkin initiative, aiming to provide students with firsthand insights into their community while fostering leadership skills and community engagement.
Students explore Angelina County through immersive sessions covering social services, healthcare, education, local economy, and government. These experiences provide them with a comprehensive understanding of their surroundings, equipping them with essential leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Integral to the program is the emphasis on community service, where students engage in volunteer projects to give back to their neighborhoods and cultivate a sense of responsibility and empathy. Moreover, the program serves as a platform for students to explore diverse career pathways and establish valuable connections with local professionals through events like the Leadership Forum.
As applications are now open for the 2026-2027 class, Leadership Tomorrow continues its mission of nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. With each cohort, the program enriches the fabric of the community, fostering a culture of leadership, service, and collaboration.
In an ever-evolving world, the need for capable and compassionate leaders has never been more pressing. Leadership Tomorrow stands as a testament to the transformative power of education, mentorship, and community engagement in shaping the leaders of tomorrow. As students embark on this enriching journey, they not only discover their own potential but also sow the seeds for a brighter, more inclusive future for Angelina County and beyond.
