Communities Unlimited Hosting Beginner-Friendly Grant Readiness Class at DETCOG

Local organizations and community leaders looking to strengthen their funding efforts are invited to attend an upcoming Grant Readiness Training hosted by Communities Unlimited.

The beginner-friendly class will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG), located at 1405 Kurth Drive in Lufkin. The training is open to the community and designed for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of securing grant funding.

Participants will gain practical insight into the grant process, including how to align programs with funder priorities, organize key documents, and develop strong, competitive proposals. Attendees can expect to walk away with actionable tools and clear next steps to strengthen their organization’s funding strategy.

Whether you are new to grant writing or looking to build a stronger foundation, this session offers a valuable opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and connect with others working to make an impact in our region.

For more information or assistance with registration, contact Timeka Mayfield at (479) 595-6593 or timeka.mayfield@communitiesu.org.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get prepared, get organized, and take the next step toward securing funding for your programs.
