Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Preparing for 56th Annual Pow-Wow
The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas is preparing to welcome guests from across the region for the 56th Annual Pow-wow, happening June 5–6, 2026, at the Veterans Pavilion, located 16 miles east of Livingston on U.S. Highway 190.
This long-standing tradition brings together culture, community, music, dancing, food, and craftsmanship for a weekend that celebrates Native American heritage and honors generations of tradition.
This year’s Pow-wow will feature an expanded Veterans Pavilion, creating additional space for dancers, singers, arts and crafts vendors, and food vendors traveling in from across the area and beyond. Visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with traditional performances, handmade goods, authentic food, and opportunities to experience the rich culture of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe.
The public is invited to attend both days of the event.

Friday, June 5
- 2 p.m. — Gates Open
- 5 p.m. — Gourd Dance
- 6:30 p.m. — Grand Entry
Saturday, June 6
- 12 p.m. — Gates Open
- 2 p.m. — Gourd Dance
- 4–5 p.m. — Break
- 5 p.m. — Gourd Dance
- 6:30 p.m. — Grand Entry
Admission is $7 per day, and children ages 6 and under are admitted free.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional dancing, drumming, cultural presentations, arts and crafts vendors, and a variety of food offerings throughout the weekend.
Vendor participation is also welcomed for arts and crafts, informational booths, and food vendors.
