For two days, the Pitser Garrison Civic Center became a place where ideas were challenged, perspectives shifted, and leaders from across Angelina County spent time investing in something that's easy to push aside during a busy year: their own growth.

The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce was proud to once again serve as a host site for the 2026 Global Leadership Summit, welcoming business owners, managers, educators, nonprofit professionals, students, and emerging leaders from across our region.

Throughout the Summit, attendees heard from some of today's most respected leadership voices. They shared lessons on navigating change, building trust, communicating with purpose, and leading people through uncertainty. Some ideas sparked pages of notes. Others simply caused people to pause and think differently. Both are valuable.

What made these two days especially meaningful wasn't just what happened on stage. It was what happened in the hallways, around lunch tables, and between sessions. New connections were made. Old friendships were renewed. Conversations continued long after each presentation ended as people discussed ideas they wanted to take back to their teams and organizations.

That's one of the reasons the Chamber continues to bring the Global Leadership Summit to our community. Leadership can be lonely. Gathering with others who are facing similar challenges reminds us that we don't have to figure everything out on our own.
