Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber and the Angelina County Citizens Chamber to Host Primary Elections Candidate Forum

Lufkin, Texas | January 13, 2026

The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Angelina County Citizens Chamber of Commerce, will host a Primary Elections Candidate Forum on February 2 at Angelina College, located in the Community Services Building, Rm CS-104.

The forum is designed to provide voters with an informative and respectful opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking office in the upcoming primary election. The event will follow a moderated format, with questions prepared in advance and additional questions submitted to moderators prior to the forum. This structure helps ensure a fair and focused discussion on issues important to the Angelina County community.

“Our role as a Chamber is to help create space for informed dialogue and civic engagement,” said representatives of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce. “By partnering with Citizens Chamber, we are working together to support transparency, leadership, and an engaged electorate.”

The Chamber emphasizes that this forum is part of its broader commitment to convening community conversations that strengthen local leadership and encourage informed participation in the democratic process.
