Summer in the City 2026 Returns to Downtown Lufkin with Eight Weeks of Free Community Events

LUFKIN, TX - Summer evenings in Downtown Lufkin are set to come alive once again as Summer in the City 2026 returns to Cotton Square Park from June 6 through August 1. This free, family-friendly event series will feature eight consecutive Saturdays of live music, movies, interactive activities, and community entertainment.

Hosted in the heart of downtown, Summer in the City brings together residents and visitors for unforgettable nights filled with food trucks, live performances, and engaging activities for all ages. Food and drink sales begin at 7:00 PM, with featured events starting at 8:00 PM each Saturday.

 

2026 Event Lineup:

  • June 6: Let’s Roll – Roller Skate & Mini Golf Night (Sponsored by Skate Ranch and Hijinx Trampoline Park)
  • June 13: Latin Mix DJ Dance Party featuring DJ Rule FX
  • June 20: Two Tons of Steel Rockabilly Concert
  • June 27: Family Movie Night at the Square (Presented by Angelina Arts Alliance)
  • July 4: City of Lufkin July 4th Celebration at Ellen Trout Zoo

 

  • July 11: Keyun & The Zydeco Masters Concert
  • July 18: Music Mingle (Presented by the Lufkin Limners)
  • July 25: Silent Disco (Presented by Lufkin Parks & Recreation)
